Girl: Ooh, it smells yummy!
Boy: Our real dad’s a super, super-duper good cook!
Man2: uh-huh.
Man1: Here you go, guys.
Man2: Yeah, it looks an awful lot like Cinnabon.
Man1: Well, thank you, Brad. What a nice thing to say.
Man2: Mmm, it tastes exactly like Cinnabon! But same shape, same swirl, same frosting.
Man1: Well now he’s starting to embarrass me, but I do appreciate the compliment. Good morning, Sara-bear!
Woman: Morning.
Man1: Hey, listen, guys, Brad and I had a talk last night about the importance of family. And now that everyone’s here, I wanted to say a few words, okay?
Man2: I think that would be great.
Man1: Hey, kids, you know, families can be ever-growing and changing things. And sometimes someone new knocks on the door of your heart and you’re not sure if you have room in there for one more. There’s someone here now that I hope you guys can learn to love. Okay?
Man1: Come here, boy!
Kids: A doggy! Yay!
Man2: You brought a dog home?
Man1: Yeah. Is that a problem? I mean, you seemed really into it while I was teeing it up.
Man2: No, I thought you were talking about me.
Man1: Oh boy, you’re not a dog, Brad.
Man2: No… Look, last night, when we talked…
Man1: Oh, yeah. Well, listen, that’s gotta happen organically.
Man2: What can’t happen now?
Man1: It just can’t.
Girl: You’re dirty.
Woman: Dusty, how old is that thing?
Man1: I guess him to be around 15. I mean, I found him this morning, living in a storm drain. I named him Tumor, because how much he grows on you.
Kids: Mommy, can we keep Tumor, please?
Woman: Oh, I’m gonna leave this one up to Brad.
Kids: Please, Brad! Please!
Man2: Why is he looking at me like that? He’s only looking at me. Maybe we just get a puppy instead huh?
Man1: A puppy, Brad? What are they gonna learn from a puppy? An old dog like Tumor here’s been out in the world, man. Living free. Fighting for survival and seeing things we can only dream of. Just look at the wisdom in those cloudy eyes. Besides, you know what happens to old dogs at shelters. He’s gonna have to walk the green mile soon as he gets there.
Boy: No, Brad, no! Don’t kill our dog!
Girl: I hate you!
Man2: Okay. Okay. Fine. He can live out a few remaining weeks with us.
Kids: Yay!
Boy: Thanks, Brad.
Girl: I don’t hate you anymore. He’s way pottying!
Woman: Oh, my God.
Boy: We’ll clean it up. We don’t mind.
Man1: Look at that. The dog’s already teaching them responsibility. Hey, guys, you’re gonna pick up the potty, gotta use gloves. He’s definitely got worms in his poo.
Man2: Yeah.

- Step2 英語の音声と合わせて動画を視聴する。この段階では英語字幕やスクリプトは見ずに、自分の実力を試す。ディクテーションの際はこのSTEPで行う。
- Step3 英語字幕や上記のスクリプトを参考にしながら、英語の内容をしっかり確認する。必要なら辞書を引いても良い。ディクテーションのときは、ここで答え合わせなどをする。
- Step4 ミラーリングの練習の際には、ここで英語字幕やスクリプト無しで動画を再生し練習する。発音、抑揚だけでなく。身振り手振りや感情もコピーする。
- Step5 最終確認のために、もう一度英語字幕やスクリプト無しで動画を視聴する。英語をどれだけ理解できたかを確認する。
