Man: So here’s the deal. How would you like to be my pretend children for one afternoon?
Girl: Why don’t you just tell that poor girl the truth?
Man: You know?
Girl: Our mother tells us everything. Wedding ring boy.
Man: What?
Girl: Oh, my goodness! Did you see Gossip Girl last night? It was so good!
Man: No, she’s not like that. Your mother’s presenting her in a weird, weird way. I’m just saying, telling the truth is not in the cards right now. I thought you’d be excited to have an acting job.
Girl: If it’s an acting job, we should get paid.
Man: Yeah, you’re gonna get paid in experience.
Girl: I wanna actually get paid.
Man: All right, what do you want?
Girl: $600 for the day, plus overtime if we go over eight hours. I’ll do my own hair and makeup. And I want you to pay for the six-week intensive acting camp that my mom can’t afford.
Man: $50 for the day and a two-week acting class at the YMCA nearest you.
Girl: $500 and a four-week acting class.
Man: $300 and a three-week class.
Girl: Done.
Man: I would have done it for $500.
Girl: I would have done it for the experience.
Man: Michael, you’re up. Opener?
Boy: I want you to take me to Hawaii so I can swim with the dolphins.
Man: You’re not gonna let that one go, are you? We’re not going to Hawaii, pal. Anything else?
Boy: Find someone else then.
Man: Ooh, the Mafia stare down. Very good, Michael. We’re here to negotiate. Do you have anything else you might like?
Boy: I want a flying pony.
Man: I want a flying pony too, Michael, but they don’t exist.
Boy: Then I want a regular pony. And I want to name him Nelson.
Man: How about a Playstation 3 and we name him Nelson?
Boy: Keep talking.
Man: We’ll include four video games.
Boy: Five games. And I want the meeting with blondie to be at J.D. McFunnigan’s.
Man: How ‘bout Charlie Choo-Choo’s cause it’s right down the street from me.
Boy: Mention that slop-hole again and I walk.
Man: All right, take it easy, son. Take it easy.
Boy: And I want unlimited tokens. If I can spend ‘em, I wanna have ‘em. I don’t wanna be like playing Skee-Ball and all of a sudden run out of tokens.
Man: All right, I can make that happen. So do we have a deal?
Boy: Deal.
Man: Deal’s off unless you eat that pizza, though. Seriously.
Girl: Can I do an accent?
Man: Let me hear some.
Girl: Ello!
Man: No.
Girl: Ok.

- Step2 英語の音声と合わせて動画を視聴する。この段階では英語字幕やスクリプトは見ずに、自分の実力を試す。ディクテーションの際はこのSTEPで行う。
- Step3 英語字幕や上記のスクリプトを参考にしながら、英語の内容をしっかり確認する。必要なら辞書を引いても良い。ディクテーションのときは、ここで答え合わせなどをする。
- Step4 ミラーリングの練習の際には、ここで英語字幕やスクリプト無しで動画を再生し練習する。発音、抑揚だけでなく。身振り手振りや感情もコピーする。
- Step5 最終確認のために、もう一度英語字幕やスクリプト無しで動画を視聴する。英語をどれだけ理解できたかを確認する。
