Woman 1: That’s not the point. I can’t text. You know, I’m not charming via text.
Woman 2: Maybe you should just stop texting.
Woman 1: But it’s not just texting, it’s e-mail. It’s voicemail. It’s snail mail.
Woman 2: That’s regular mail.
Woman 1: Whatever. None of it’s working. I had this guy leave me a voicemail at work, so I called him at home. And then he e-mailed me to my BlackBerry, and so I texted to his cell. Then he e-mailed me to my home account and the whole thing just got out of control. And I miss the days where you had one phone number and one answering machine. And that one answering machine housed one cassette tape……and that one cassette tape either had a message from the guy or it didn’t. And now you have to go around checking all these different portals……just to get rejected by seven different technologies. It’s exhausting.

- Step1 無音で動画を見てどのような場面、状況なのかを想像する。
- Step2 英語の音声と合わせて動画を視聴する。この段階では英語字幕やスクリプトは見ずに、自分の実力を試す。ディクテーションの際はこのSTEPで行う。
- Step3 英語字幕や上記のスクリプトを参考にしながら、英語の内容をしっかり確認する。必要なら辞書を引いても良い。ディクテーションのときは、ここで答え合わせなどをする。
- Step4 ミラーリングの練習の際には、ここで英語字幕やスクリプト無しで動画を再生し練習する。発音、抑揚だけでなく。身振り手振りや感情もコピーする。
- Step5 最終確認のために、もう一度英語字幕やスクリプト無しで動画を視聴する。英語をどれだけ理解できたかを確認する。
